Unique History

Tenganan Dauh Tukad is one of the oldest traditional Balinese villages located in Karangasem eastern side of Bali. This village has a unique local community life pattern and different from other countryside in plain Bali. Nowadays, this village becomes a tourist destination which can present attractive and unique matters which able to fascination for tourist to come.

How to Reach

You can go there by motorcycle, car or bus. Access to the village is very easy without potholes and gravel roads. The trip duration from Ngurah Rai International Airport to this village is around 2 until 3 hours, amoung 65 km to the east. It's not a long journey to get an authentic experience in this village.

What to See

You can see many tourist attractions in Tenganan Dauh Tukad Village,  the unique traditional culture such as fascinating authentic traditional festival (ritual dances), tradition of Pandanus War "Mekare-Kare" on every June, Art Crafting Weave of cloth fastens are famous called by “Ikat Pangringsingan”, and the process of making palm wine (Tuak) in traditional way. This village also has natural attractions consisting of sacred forests, clean river flows, beautiful rice fields and hills that fortify the village.
